'It’s always good to get your first win under your belt and to do it against a very strong side makes it all the more pleasing. The lads are given a game strategy with everyone understanding their job in and out of possession, we tweaked this after Saturdays game knowing that they played a certain way and the lads executed it perfectly in the first half.
The intensity was good and we moved the ball well, with a real purpose. It forced them to change formation which is when you know you are on top in game. I thought the second half showed a real professional performance and having thrown away a 2 goal lead on Saturday it was important that we learnt from that.
We have a friendly on Saturday now which will be good to get lads yet to feature some minutes in their legs before 2 important games starting with Market Drayton in the FA Vase.'
