How was todays game?
Always good to come away with a 3 – 0 win but at times it was a little bit frustrating. The lads showed spells of how good they can be and probably will be throughout the season, but there were frustrating times when they couldn’t get the foot on the ball and take the sting out the game. All in all, 3 – 0 is a positive result and we go into Tuesday.
Were there any stand out players for you?
I thought Emem Jones showed us what sort of an Athlete he is, today. He sStood out for me at left side centre half, showing how versatile he is at running the channels and using his body to good use. He also showed good use of the ball in spells, couple of little things he can improve on, which he will do throughout the season. I think he showed today the potential he has got and if he keeps building on what he has been showing pre-season he could be a good player.
What can we expect last 2 pre-season friendlies?
Last couple of games will be a massive test, away at Boldmere, they are a strong outfit and they showed that last year when we played them. We played a few times home and away in the league that I think we lost, so would be good to see how our lads are against them to see where we are from last season. Moving into Saturday, that is always going to be a tough test, but again, be good to see the lads against a good team and hopefully perform, moving into the season on a positive note
